Omega 3 – High concentration DHA BRUDY TECHNOLOGY is a research and development (R&D) company founded in Barcelona in 199 with 100% Spanish share capital. The main purpose of BRUDY TECHNOLOGY is to detect technology requirements in highly diverse sectors such as food, pharmaceutical or nutraceutical, among others. Its purpose is to develop research projects that contribute suitable solutions for these requirements and generate totally new products for market niches that are still to be discovered.
In recent years, BRUDY TECHNOLOGY has led major development projects and created new products in the polyunsaturated fatty acids field, main area of specialization of the company. To date its great international success has been the use of Omega 3 fatty acids in food products since the 90’s in eggs or industrial pastry, for example. The company was then called Broga and was associated to the North American Omega Tech. Thanks to the creation of eggs enriched with Omega 3, it received the Award to the Most Innovative Product in Europe in 1997.
Since then BRUDY TECHNOLOGY has taken its research in Omega 3 another step further. After an approximate investment of ten million euros of self financing and eight years of research in the Universities of Murcia, Madrid, Almeria and Barcelona and at Laboratori General d’Assaigs i Investigacions (LGAI) of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the company has research into the particularities of the DHA molecule on humans and has created ALGATRIUM, a revolutionary nutritional ingredient at an international level that slows down cell ageing and is a unique and optimal source of DHA of high bioavailability.
Brudy Technology in the international market Brudy Technology holds the international patent for Algatrium, a privilege that, despite the great economic offers it has received; it does not plan to give up. The company has started to market the product in Spain – it can be purchased in pharmacies, parapharmacies and diet shops throughout the country – but sales of the product are expected to start shortly in the United States, which is expected to represent 90% of sales as well as other countries such as Japan.
The industrial production of Brudy Technology will also continue in Spain. The company has already acquired land of 1,500 sqm in an industrial estate in Granollers (Barcelona) where the industrial premises will be built to produce this revolutionary new product for the rest of countries.
Today, the Algatrium is available for oral consumption (capsules and liquid) or cosmetic use (cream).
